Wirral Foodbank opening times Christmas period 2023

Clients can attend ANY foodbank centre with their voucher. They don’t have to go to the one that is ticked on the issuing voucher.

HELP

If you need emergency food support, you can call Wirral Foodbank on 0151 638 7090 (Monday to Thursday 10am – 1.30pm, excluding Bank Holiday), Citizens Advice Wirral on freephone 0808 278 7848 or the Wirral Council Helpline on 0151 666 5050.  You can also get assistance by visiting local libraries (please check opening times of libraries https://www.wirral.gov.uk/libraries-and-archives/find-library

You will be asked a few questions to assess your situation. If your application is successful, you will be issued with an electronic voucher, which can be exchanged for a 3-day supply of essential food items at one of the following Wirral Foodbank Centres across Wirral Locations | Wirral Foodbank

For out of hours support between 2pm – 5pm Monday – Friday, except Bank Holiday, please contact: 07947 387930.

Emergency out office hours, between 5pm – 9am Monday – Friday, Bank Holiday, and all day Saturday and Sunday, please contact Emergency Social Services 0151 677 6557.

Neo is a key provider of food assistance and support throughout the local community and continues to provide food parcels to schools for families in need during the school holidays.

Wirral Emergency Food Hub and  Infobank

Residents experiencing difficulties with welfare needs including accessing food can visit  www.wirral.gov.uk/foodhelp which has gone live.

Residents are also encouraged to visit www.wirralinfobank.co.uk for details of shopping and delivery services provided by community groups in their local area. The Infobank has an easy to-use search facility which shows what help is available, simply by inserting a postcode. The Infobank also has a list of social supermarkets in Wirral.
