CHALLENGE AND ADVENTURE

andrew-pritchard-teacher“A choice of reward trips is regularly offered to students at Kilgarth and I am always delighted when students opt for the physical challenge reward.

“We had two trips to  Oaklands Outdoor Centre during this Autumn term and I was pleased to be able to accompany a group of boys on both,  firstly when we went gorge walking and secondly when we did the mine exploration.  On both trips, boys from a mixture of year groups got along exceptionally well and rose to the challenge.

“The gorge walking provided us with great fun and excitement.  All safety equipment was provided so that the boys had opportunities to dive bomb into water, climb up waterfalls and crawl through wormholes if they decided.  On the mine exploration, there was the extra challenge of following underground maps and the boys worked great as a team to find their way to the zipwire in one of the mineshafts.”
