Celebrating Success

In line with Kilgarth’s focus on rewards as opposed to sanctions, our half termly assemblies are an opportunity to celebrate pupils’ successes. In the last week of the Summer half term, Ms Westlake presented the certificates and vouchers  for effort in class, and those with 100% attendance were  entered into a special prize draw.
A choice of two reward trips are also offered to pupils whose effort to learn and attendance marks reach the required target.  Alton Towers is usually the first choice reward trip at the end of the each academic year and this year is no exception.
Mr McConnachie, a valued member of our teaching staff, also deserves a special mention as he too achieved great success last term, when he was awarded Doctor of Philosophy at Liverpool John Moores University.
Congratulations to all pupils and staff for their achievements, whether big or small,  and not forgetting a couple of famous inspirational quotes:
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts”. Winston Churchill
“It is important to recognise the small successes” Rafael Nadal
