Years 7 & 8 boys were invited to take part in a level 3 cycling proficiency course over two days before the half term. On the first day, the boys started by practising hand signals on the school yard and we stayed close to the school.
However, by the second day, the cycle route was more adventurous! We cycled around Birkenhead park before going on the main road up to Bidston. The boys were taught the correct way to navigate roundabouts and the trainers reinforced expectatons at busy junctions. All the boys who took part passed their level 3 cycling proficiency and it was great to see how amazingly well they did. Thank you to the instructors from Bike Right UK.
