SILVER TURNS TO GOLD FOR MRS PULLIN

Last night  at London’s Guildhall, Kilgarth added a Gold Award to its three Silvers when Mrs Pullin won the prestigious title of UK Teaching Assistant of the Year. Mr Baker, Headteacher, and her colleagues were delighted and proud to be there to applaud as she graciously accepted the award from Dallas Campbell. Mrs Pullin has already won the hearts of everyone at Kilgarth, pupils and staff!

Mr Baker was also at the ceremony to represent the Kilgarth Outstanding Team of the Year, which was shortlisted for Gold.  It is widely recognised by staff and governors that Mr Baker is the inspirational leader of this team!  Ms Westlake was there too, having been shortlisted in the category of Outstanding New Teacher of the Year.

Staff and governor representatives also joined them at the ceremony which was hosted by Dan Snow and there were many well-known faces on board to present the awards.

Nicky Morgan, Education Secretary, was amongst the guests and conveyed that it was a huge privilege to be at the Teaching Awards to hear about inspirational teaching & teams. She congratulated the  winners and took the opportunity to thank the many thousands of teachers across the country.

We would similarly like to congratulate fellow winners from all over the UK!

The Ceremony will be televised on BBC2 Sunday evening 2nd November.
