This term, year 8 have been studying the industrial changes that took place in Britain from 1700s to 1900s. Over the past two weeks they have been looking into the different types of industrial developments in the forms of production and technology.
Last Thursday, pupils visited the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. They had a great time coming face to face with the artefacts they have been studying. They were challenged with the mission to hunt for different machines and inventions that fueled developments in the cotton and transport industries. I am very proud to say that every pupil was able to identify the chronological developments of different exhibits and how they might have contributed to the industrial revolution. All of the boys displayed exemplary behavior and enjoyed the trip.
