On Saturday 30th May Mr Pritchard, our popular and super fit PSHE teacher, faced the Excalibur challenge by running up and across the Clwydian range of North Wales which takes in Moel Famau.
Moel Famau has always been a popular destination for our pupils to go walking at the end of the Summer term, with Mr Pritchard as group leader! On Saturday however, he was joined by over 130 other runners for 26.2 miles and he finished in 27th place, raising almost £500 for Claire House.
Excalibur is associated with King Arthur and magical powers. It is without doubt that Mr Pritchard’s conquest of over 5,500 feet of steep ascent, was extraordinary. Staff, pupils and governors would like to congratulate him for completing this challenge. Mr Pritchard has also expressed his thanks for the support he received.
