Warm Home Discount Scheme

Can we please remind our families that £140 can be claimed off your electricity bill if you have a low income or are on certain benefits.

The Warm Home Discount is a government programme that provides a one-off rebate to the electricity bills of UK homes that are at risk of fuel poverty and the rebate is applied via the energy supplier between October and March.

The money is not paid to you – it’s a one-off discount on your electricity bill, between September and March.

You may be able to get the discount on your gas bill instead if your supplier provides you with both gas and electricity. Contact your supplier to find out.

Your electricity supplier decides who can get the discount – check with your supplier to see if you’re eligible and how to apply.

If you need help applying, you can get in touch with  the Bidston and St James Children’s Centre. Birkenhead on  0151 651 1190
