TES AWARDS 2015 – FRIDAY 19TH JUNE 2015

We are delighted that Kilgarth will be represented tomorrow evening at the annual TES Schools Awards in London.   Winners will be announced  from 17 categories and we are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for the Community and Collaboration Award.

Five representatives from school will be attending along with Dr Alice Jones from the Psychology Department at Goldsmiths University of London.  We are proud to have been working with Dr Jones and her colleagues to bridge the gap between neuroscience and education.  Our collaborative approach has allowed us to improve schools’ support for pupils with social and emotional difficulties, including the delivery of free behaviour management training to over 500 teachers, support staff and police officers.

Under the leadership of Mr Baker, Headteacher, and with support from Senior Leadership Team and Governors, Kilgarth has been able to forge strong links with a range of other excellent partnerships – locally, nationally and internationally.  One of the recent outcomes has been the provision of support for a Headteacher colleague in Rwanda through the NAHT and the British Council.

We look forward to meeting other shortlisters tomorrow and best wishes to all in anticipation of a great evening!
