The trip to Chester Fire Station for the Year 11s was a tremendous success due to the group learning so much about the day to day operations of a fire station. We were shown around by Colin who even took the boys up on the hydraulic platform 100ft in the air as high as a block of flats! On the way down, the boys experienced the reality of the job as a fire officer when there was an emergency call for the firefighters to tackle a house fire.
